We want Crew Rights Compass to be easy to read and use, including on small phones, slow connections and with assistive technology. We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA. We have not had the site independently audited, so we do not claim certification.
What we have done
- Readable text sizes, clear contrast and a single-column reading width.
- All pages and directory links work without JavaScript; search and filters are an extra.
- Keyboard access, visible focus, a skip link and a menu that closes with Escape.
- Labelled form fields, errors linked to the fields they describe, and plain-text results in the tools.
- Reduced motion is respected; there are no carousels or autoplay.
- Print styles for the checklist and tools.
Known limitations
- The worksheets inside the PDFs are printable pages, not fillable forms.
- The tools need JavaScript to calculate; their questions and explanations are readable without it.
- Sample page images have text descriptions, and the sample PDFs contain selectable text; the images alone are not a full substitute.
